Adjustable stops on the back of the template accommodate door jambs of 1-3/8” or 1-3/4” thickness, providing added versatility. Secure the template to the door jamb with fine steel nails, then remove the locator and route the mortise using a 5/8” router template guide and a 1/2” mortising bit. Ideal for contractors and DIYers, this template ensures smooth and accurate cuts for reliable strike plate installation every time.
