The Big Horn 70134 B Deadbolt Strike Template with Center Locator is designed to produce a precise 1-1/8" x 2-3/4" finish mortise for deadbolt strikes and "T" strikes, ensuring professional-grade results for residential door installations. The included center locator position the template accurately over pre-bored holes in the jamb for perfect alignment. Adjustable stops on the back of the template accommodate door jambs of 1-3/8” or 1-3/4” thickness. Secure the template to the door jamb with fine steel nails, then remove the locator and route the mortise using a 5/8” router template guide and a 1/2” mortising bit. Perfect for both contractors and DIYers, this template delivers consistent and reliable performance for smooth and accurate strike plate installations every time.
